The PF External Breather Kit combines an external breather with the PF Short Sump Plug to support better crankcase ventilation and oil scavenging on Gen 2 Milwaukee-Eight engines. The washable K&N filter vents the breather externally while the stainless steel intake plug seals the factory intake breather opening, keeping oil mist out of the intake and reducing residue and carbon buildup.

The PF Short Sump Plug's reduced-height design keeps the internal cross-sump port fully open, allowing the oil pump to evacuate oil from the sump more efficiently. Better scavenging means improved oil control, reduced oil accumulation in the crankcase, and a more reliable lubrication system—especially on high-output builds where proper oil management is critical.
